The forests and rolling hills of this area were always thick and opaque. This made them perfect for hiding many secrets: lovers, rebels covents, plants, rings of fairies, and travelers carrying secret goods from the heart of the Balkans all the way to Constantinople and back. The hidden net of waterfalls was astonishing to everyone that encountered them amidst the forest, and many found relief and a safe place to rest in their cold streams and flows.
Ravna Reka is part of the beautiful and rich nature of the Maleshevo Mountains. High beech and pine woods and the springs of the river Bregalnica, as well as few waterfalls up to 14 metres high known as Pehchevski waterfalls.
One can eat fresh grilled trout in the restaurants with fishponds, or have a picnic, go hiking or mountain biking. The local accommodation offered by two motels with restaurants and swimming pools and nice villas with sports courts. The area of Maleshevo has five marked hiking trails, some of which can be used for mountain biking.
