The Museum of Mosaics is a museum in the town of Devnya near Varna. Early-Byzantine mosaics from the ancient settlement of Marcianopolis are exhibited in the museum. The Museum was built on top of a large ruined Roman villa from Late Antiquity on the ancient foundations of the “building with the mosaics” dated to the end of III – beginning of IV century (regim of Constantine I – the Great) and lasted till the beginning of VII century. Various materials associated with the building architecture and lifestyle of its ancient inhabitants are presented as well.
