The Zekate House id located in the highest poin of Palorto neighbourhood. It was built around the 1811-1812 for an accountant called Beqir Zeko during the Ali Pasha’s era. The majestic apparance of the building is the symbol of the elite’s of the time. The building is open for visitors and gives the opportunity to see the traditional buildings of Gjirokaster in it’s complexity with stunning views of the valley. The living room (called Oda), decorated with charm and the attic in the center of the upper floor, are two of the most unique points of the house.
